Abstract
INTRODUCTION: The study was on the effect of sports massage on localized hamstring and quadriceps after maximal ex-ercise test.

METHOD: Taekwondo players completed maximal exercise test during rest, after all out, after 10 minute with supine position, and after sports massage therapy for 10 minutes in lower limbs. Cybex 770 machine was used to measure muscle fatigue and recovery during isokinetic knee flexors and extensors for peak torque. The subjects were Taekwondo players composed of the following: 11 Taekwondo players average-aged 19 years who have practiced for 82 months on average. The data were analyzed by performing one-way repeated analysis of variance(ANOVA) between knee flexors and extensors for each type of test.

RESULT: The sports massage application during recovery for 10 min showed the increasing tendency of strength of flexors and extensors, conventional H/Q ratio and functional H/Q ratio at angular velocity 240o/sec, however, there were no statistically significant differences.

CONCLUSION: The training for extensors improvement in the angular velocity 240o/sec is required for Taekwondo athletes and pertinent sports massage resulting in psychological stability are the way to be desired because psychological tiredness is accompanied by physical tiredness.
